- Convening Sejm sessions,
- presiding over the proceedings of the Sejm,
- overseeing the course and timeliness of the work of the Sejm and its bodies,
- directing the work of the Presidium of the Sejm (formed by the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the Sejm),
- convening the Convention of Sejm Seniors and chairing its meetings (the Convention is composed of the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the Sejm, chairpersons or deputy chairpersons of parliamentary clubs and circles),
- To conduct matters of relations with the Senate, parliaments of other countries, and institutions and others.
