On December 16 of this year, during a meeting of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the topic of the Tri-Moor project was taken up. The initiative was established in 2015 and its aim was to strengthen cooperation between twelve countries in the Adriatic, Baltic and Black Sea regions. The way to strengthen cooperation is, among others, the implementation of joint initiatives in the areas of transport, energy and digitization.
Marek Kuchciński paid attention to the special attention of Poland to the issue of development of modern infrastructure, especially digital infrastructure in the Tri-City Region. I believe that this area will determine the future ability of our region to compete in the global market, through the development of digital infrastructure we will be able to better use the economic potential of the country.
The meeting was also an opportunity to emphasize the role of the Parliament in the area of lobbying for the Tri-City. Parliament's voice should be strengthened on this initiative - said Marek Kuchciński. Additional concern was given to the topic of the Tri-City Fund. Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka, the President of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego explained the scale and function of this instrument. The Fund is the economic dimension of the Tri-City Initiative and an investment vehicle for financing key infrastructure projects in the region. It complements and reinforces the capital commitment of individual countries and European Union financial instruments.
