PiS wafers meeting in Przemyśl

On Saturday, January 23rd, the Podkarpacki Center for Teachers' Education in Przemyśl hosted a traditional New Year's meeting of the members and supporters of Law and Justice in Przemyśl and the Przemyśl district. The meeting was honored by the presence of Marek Kuchcinski, Speaker of the Polish Parliament.

Among the esteemed guests were also: Anna Schmidt-Rodziewicz and Andrzej Matusiewicz, members of the Polish Parliament, Ewa Leniart, Podkarpackie Voivode, Dariusz Iwaneczko, director of the IPN in Rzeszów, Janusz Hamryszczak and Grzegorz Hayder, deputy mayors of Przemyśl, and Rafał Sura, judge of the State Tribunal.

The meeting was also attended by mayors of communes of the Przemyśl district, councilors and representatives of the Board of the Solidarity Trade Union of the Przemyśl area, as well as the Solidarity Trade Union of Individual Farmers.

Monsignor Waldemar Janiga read the Word of God and addressed a pastoral teaching to the gathered. The Speaker of the Sejm presented the current situation in Poland, emphasizing that the parliamentary majority and the government of the Republic of Poland have already adopted the solutions they committed themselves to during the election campaign. After the breaking of the wafer and mutual greetings, the MPs, voivode, deputy mayor of the city, and the director of the Institute of National Remembrance were asked to make speeches. Thus, the attendees had an opportunity to get "first-hand" information about the legislative activities undertaken and plans for this year for Poland, Podkarpacie and the land of Przemysl.

The guests wished all the attendees prosperity in their personal and professional lives in the beginning of 2016. The prematurely deceased Chairman of the City Council of Przemyśl, Wladyslaw Bukowski, was not forgotten. On the initiative of Halina Ukarma, the gathered said a prayer for him.

The artistic moments were made more pleasant by the Przemysl Youth Chamber Choir "Vox Iuventum". At the end, to the accompaniment of an accordionist, old Polish carols were sung.

The meeting was hosted by Bożena Ryczan, the PiS plenipotentiary for the Przemyśl district, and Lucyna Podhalicz, the PiS plenipotentiary in Przemyśl.
