Unemployment data. Very important in the context of raising the retirement age

 

Differences for September 2007 and February 2012.

 

Number registered unemployed at the labour offices At the end of September 2007 there were 1777.8 thousand people and in February 2012 - 2168.2 thousand. This means that since 09.2007 the number of registered unemployed increased by 22%.

Increase in registered unemployed continuously for the sixth consecutive month (total 312.9 thousand).

 

Unemployed people registered with labor offices at the end of September 2007 accounted for 11.6% of the civilian labor force, and 13.5% in February 2012. Unemployment rate rises for fourth consecutive month (from 11.8% in October 2011 to 13.5% in February 2012).

 

There were 1546.4 thousand people (i.e. 87.0% of the total registered unemployed) without the right to benefit in September 2007, and in February 2012 there were 1793.3 thousand people (i.e. 82.7% of the total registered unemployed) without the right to benefit. This means that since 09.2007 the number of unemployed without a right to unemployment benefit increased by 246.9 thousand (16%). It is the sixth month in a row that the number of unemployed people without the right to benefit has increased.

In September 2007, 69.5 thousand unemployed graduates were registered. In February 2012, 137.7 thousand unemployed graduates were registered. This represents an increase of 68.2 thousand (an increase of 98%). The number of unemployed graduates is increasing for the eighth month in a row.

In September 2007, 19 thousand unemployed college graduates were registered. In February 2012, 37.1 thousand unemployed college graduates were registered. This represents an increase of 18.1 thousand (an increase of 95%). For the eighth month in a row, the number of registered unemployed women is increasing (in 8 months, an increase of 112.7 thousand).

In September 2007 there were 375.1 thousand unemployed over 50 years old. In February 2012 there were 477.9 thousand. This means an increase by 102.8 thousand (increase by 27.4%). The number of registered unemployed over 50 is increasing for the fifth month in a row (within 5 months there was an increase of 70 thousand).
