UK Ambassador: Poland's security is our security

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Marek Kuchcinski held talks with Ambassador Anna Clunes on Thursday. During the meeting they discussed new formats of Polish-British cooperation, changes in the world geopolitical system and strengthening cooperation between the Polish and British parliaments.

Marek Kuchciński emphasized that British involvement in strengthening European security is appreciated in Poland by all political forces. The interlocutors agreed that Ukraine must win the war because the security of not only Poland but also of the whole Europe depends on it.

It is worth noting that WB Prime Minister Boris Johnson sees Poland as part of his proposed new system of political, economic and military alliances - an alternative to the European Union - that brings together countries united by distrust of Brussels, and of Germany's response to Russian military aggression. Poland would be one of the members of this initiative alongside Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, and potentially Turkey. These states are also distinguished by their concern for sovereignty, economic liberalism and intransigence towards Russia.
