The first day of the 34th session of the Sejm began with paying tribute to Stanisław Hniedziewicz, Longin Komołowski, Janusz Brochwicz-Lewiński a.k.a. Gryf, and Maria Łopatkowa.
- Opposition MPs are no longer occupying the Sejm rostrum," Speaker Marek Kuchciński said during the second day of the 34th sitting of the Sejm. - In view of the fact that this situation has caused certain perturbations, I have decided that it is necessary to make a deeper analysis of the events that have taken place over the past few weeks in the Polish Sejm. It is necessary to order a longer break, but before I do so, I will ask you, Members of Parliament, especially the chairpersons and members of the bureaux of parliamentary committees, teams, bilateral groups, groups operating also in the international area, to undertake intensive work in order to eliminate the backlog, as in some cases it has occurred. I order a break in the session until January 25, 2017 at 9 a.m.
