The motion for a vote of confidence in the government was President Andrzej Duda's idea. - I made a proposal to end and cut this process, in which de facto the government and the parliamentary majority are being obstructed in their actions that are supposed to lead to the end of the coronavirus epidemic, creation of conditions that are completely safe for the life and health of Poles, as well as conditions to efficiently and consistently fight the effects of the economic crisis," the president argued. Prime Minister Morawiecki justified the vote with the need to cut through the festival of brawls and say: Check.

- What do Poles need today? First of all, efficiency and justice, so that our actions have a real impact on the health and economic reality. Poles need stability and action for the good of the Republic of Poland," said the Prime Minister from the parliamentary platform.

Morawiecki stressed that five years ago the door to good change was opened by President Andrzej Duda. -The change was implemented under the new economic and social policy. First by the cabinet of Prime Minister Beata Szydło, and later continued by me and the government that is here with us. Today, in the situation surrounding us, when Europe is slowly emerging from a health crisis and entering an economic crisis, we need unity between the executive and legislative branches - argued the head of government.

Coronavirus

According to the Prime Minister, Poland has achieved great success in the fight against coronavirus. We made the right decisions at the right time. We were one of the first in Europe to introduce restrictions and thanks to quick decisions we did not find ourselves in a situation of Italy or Spain, where doctors had to decide which patients to treat. During an epidemic, we reacted quickly. We quickly closed borders and schools. We restricted mass events. This is the art of making the right decisions at the right time. - The fact that we have not run out of hospital beds is an effective policy of our government and Minister Ł. Szumowski - convinced Morawiecki.

Crisis shield

The prime minister assured that government assistance is working:

• We protect tens of thousands of businesses and millions of jobs.
• In less than a month, PFR alone paid out more than PLN 43 billion - an amount equal to the annual budget revenue from CIT.
• Our Crisis Shield is helping businesses. We have directly saved between 2 and 3 million jobs.
• Poland may remain the country least affected by coronavirus.
• This proves that we have adopted the right strategy.
• We care about Polish entrepreneurs, Polish companies and Polish capital.
• We have consistently implemented a model of sustainable economic development.
• Included in this is a Public Investment Fund that will be available to every municipality and county.
• According to the proposal of President Andrzej Duda, the fund will finance a number of development projects that support local communities.

Successes

• Decrease in unemployment to the second lowest in the EU.
• Gone is the bane of the neoliberal model.
• Between 2016 and 2019, Polish GDP grew at an average annual rate of 4.3 percent, compared to 3.2 percent between 2008 and 2015.

• We implement great social programs that have changed the lives of millions of Poles, such as: 500 plus.

Investments and the future

We would like to thank President Andrzej Duda. It is from his plans and vision for development that the great investment plan has emerged. Summing up the Prime Minister's speech, Andrzej Duda stressed that Poland needs good cooperation between the executive authorities, the government and the President and peaceful implementation of the plans. - This peaceful implementation of plans will provide jobs. This peaceful implementation of the plans, not brawls and quarrels, will be the future prosperity for the Polish family. I have no doubts about it because this is the only way we can get through this very difficult time as quickly as possible.
