On 29 September, the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński met with the residents of Gniezno, Wilno and Koło. In his speeches, he presented Law and Justice party's main programme assumptions concerning labour, healthcare and education.
Vice-Marshal Kuchciński pointed out that a very important issue that will have a positive impact on the economic situation in Poland is the reduction of taxes. Investment activities of entrepreneurs should be promoted by introducing the possibility of tax write-offs for funds spent on investments.
A very important issue raised by the Deputy Speaker was also the problem of lowering labor costs (social security contributions) if such actions will have an impact on creating new jobs for young people.
Deputy Speaker Marek Kuchciński said that Law and Justice party's goal is to create a situation in which every unemployed person will have access to free medical care. He also raised the issue of increasing subsidies for local governments, so that it is not only paid in 50 or 70 percent, but in 100 percent.
As far as education is concerned, the Deputy Speaker expressed his opinion that closing down schools in small towns should be prohibited. The previous educational system from before 1999 should be restored and the importance of vocational education should be increased, as well as health care in educational institutions should be improved.
During his visit to Gniezno, Deputy Marshal Marek Kuchciński also visited the Archive located in the Gniezno Archcathedral. The Deputy Marshal got acquainted with the project "Inventory of the Cathedral Library in Gniezno" and with the idea of establishing the Patronage of Word Treasures.
