Christmas is a special time. A joyful time, filled with hope, the atmosphere of reconciliation and mutual kindness. Wafers' meetings are a really good tradition. Nurturing the feelings that are born in the hearts of each of us, we break the symbolic bread and wish each other, filled with hope for the coming future, said Marek Kuchciński, Speaker of the Sejm.
The Marshal also wished you success in your parliamentary and senatorial activities, in your civic activities and in your family and personal life. - May the holidays pass in a joyful and peaceful atmosphere. May the Star of Bethlehem, as always, show us the way of hope - he said.
The Metropolitan of Warsaw reminded us of John Paul II's definition of politics in the tasks of the laity in the Church - that politics is prudent care for the common good. This is such a beautiful definition that in our everyday reality it may seem almost idealistic, impossible, but this is how the pope saw it and this is how we need, this is your attitude that we need - both with being for other people and with being in solidarity with everyone, so that we really care prudently for the common good.
The pre-Christmas meeting was also attended by the Marshal of the Senate Stanisław Karczewski, members of presidiums of both chambers and parliamentarians.
