On February 25, the Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński met with the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of Hungary The meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. János Latorcai. The main topics of discussion were the common past of our countries, tradition, Christian foundations 2016 was unanimously called a landmark year in the relations between Poland and Hungary.

On February 26, the Sejm by acclamation adopted a resolution making 2016 the Year of Polish-Hungarian Solidarity in The 60th anniversary of the anti-communist revolt in Poznan and the uprising in Hungary. - If the uprising in Poland had broken out at the same time as in Hungary, maybe we would have regained independence then. We did it 30 years later, but we have to finish the changes- said during a meeting with János Latorcai, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki.
