The Interregional Section of the NSZZ "Solidarity" of the Employees of Sanitary and Epidemiological Stations of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship has sent an appeal to Marek Kuchciński, MP, for counteracting the liquidation of the majority of county stations in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.
The intention to liquidate these institutions was presented by the Podkarpackie State Voivodship Sanitary Inspector in Rzeszów at a meeting on February 20, 2012. The project assumes creation of 4 District Stations with 5 branches and leaving the Provincial Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Rzeszów with 4 Laboratory Departments.
The consequence of restructuring the Sanitary Inspectorate will be the loss of many jobs. Qualified specialists will become unemployed. The above situation will result in a further decrease in the standard of living of the residents. In Podkarpackie region the standard of living is low anyway, in comparison to other regions of Poland.
Liquidation of the majority of county stations in the Podkarpackie voivodeship will result in the deterioration of health and sanitary safety of the residents. Therefore, Mr Kuchciński has appealed to the Minister of Health to retain the current structure of county sanitary and epidemiological stations in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.
