- We would like to thank the Carmelite Fathers for their care and adherence to the highest values that we Poles profess, including Christian values, from the beginning of the monastery's existence in the Przemyśl region until the present day," said Marek Kuchciński, Speaker of the Sejm, during Sunday's celebrations marking the 350th anniversary of the founding of the Brotherhood of St Joseph in Przemyśl.

Marek Kuchciński referred in his speech to the history of our country and the anniversaries celebrated in the past years: 1050th anniversary of the adoption of the Baptism of Poland, 550th anniversary of the Parliamentarism of the Republic of Poland, 100th anniversary of regaining independence, as well as this year's: 100th anniversary of the Legislative Sejm and 450th anniversary of the Lublin Union. - I remind these anniversaries to emphasize very strongly how the history of the Polish nation, the history of the Polish state, is related to Christianity and the Church', said Marshal Kuchciński.

In connection with the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the creation of the Brotherhood of St. Joseph, a solemn Holy Mass was celebrated in the church of the Discalced Carmelites in Przemyśl, under the presidency of the Provincial Father Tadeusz Florek.

During the solemn Eucharist, the Speaker of the Sejm placed in the hands of the Prior of the Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites in Przemyśl a chasuble prepared on the occasion of the 550th anniversary of the Parliamentarism of the Republic of Poland.
