224 thousand children (140.9 thousand families) are covered by the Family 500 plus program in Podkarpackie. For this purpose has already been allocated 4 billion 448 million zł.

Thanks to effective economic policy and fair distribution of the effects of growth, this pot will increase significantly, because from July 1 this year. 500 PLN will also be available for the first child. In Podkarpacie, the program will additionally cover over 172,000 children - essentially Over 396,000 (247,500 families), which gives almost PLN 80 million more than before.

Extension of the program is one of the projects included in of the so-called New Five Laws. It will apply to all children up to 18 years of age, regardless of the family income.

The explanatory memorandum to the Act reads that family policy is one of the most important areas of activity of the current government. The Family 500 plus program, which entered into force on April 1, 2016, is the first program since the political transformation that so clearly emphasizes the need for investment in the family, which provides real support for it.

The 500 plus family has completely changed the outlook on state support for families and has become a reference point in the debate on family policy. Thanks to the program and the billions in cash transfers to families, development prospects have opened up for people who were previously marginalized. Their dignity has been restored.

Since July it is also possible to apply for funding of a school starter kit for a child, which amounts to 300 PLN.
