The Przemyśl Cultural Society is organizing a series of meetings devoted to
events and people from our region in Carpathian Europe. The first session in this series
was held on May 13 this year, in conjunction with the XXXIII Carpathian Europe Conference in Krasiczyn, where the
We discussed the diversity of the Carpathians and civilization's journey through the Carpathian Mountains
countries.
The second meeting will be an outdoor picnic and will be held on 3
July this year, at 14:00 in Cisowa near Przemyśl - a branch of the Arboretum and Physiography Department
in Bolestraszyce, a sanctuary of silence and natural beauty. We are planning two themes:
1/ On cultural and natural heritage, exemplified by the work of, among others, John
Gwalbert Pawlikowski and Jerzy Piórecki.
2/ Images of the Carpathians in the works of prominent figures, including Stanislaw Vincenz,
Kazimierz Wierzynski and St. John Paul II.
The meeting will be attended by: professors Krzysztof Dybciak and Csaba György Kiss
from Budapest, Dr. Narcyz Piórecki and Waldemar Wiglusz.
