Minister Agnieszka Kaczmarska has been appointed the new head of the Chancellery of the Sejm. She replaced Minister Lech Czapla, who had held the position since 2010.

The motion for dismissal of min. Czapla from the position of head of the SC was submitted by the Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński. The Sejm's Rules, Parliamentary Affairs and Immunity Committee gave a positive opinion on the motion, and the two sides reached an agreement.

Agnieszka Kaczmarska took up the post of Deputy Head of the Chancellery of the Sejm in February 2016. Between 2006 and 2016, she headed the Office of the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club and was a councillor of Targówek district.

The duties of the head of the SC min. Kaczmarska will serve until December 31, 2016. Her current position was taken over by the Director of the Secretariat of the Sejm Meetings Dariusz Salamończyk.
