Former Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński, Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk and President of the Polish Development Fund Paweł Borys were awarded with the Personality of the Year titles during Wednesday's Gala of the 30th anniversary of the Economic Forum in Karpacz. The non-governmental organization of the year 2020 was Polish Scouting Association.

One of the events accompanying the event for many years has been the Carpathian Europe Forum, whose originator is former Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński. Thanking for the distinction with the title of "Personality", the politician mentioned among others people and institutions from many countries involved in the dialogue within the forum. He noted that the Carpathian Europe conference has been organized for many years by the Polish Parliament, hosted by the Economic Forum, with the participation of an excellent team of colleagues and parliamentarians from Poland and Central Europe. "They all deserved this award," said the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Zygmunt Berdychowski, the initiator of the meeting and head of the Forum's Programme Council, said that the greatest value of this event, which has been organised for 30 years - currently in Karpacz and earlier in Krynica-Zdrój - is dialogue and conversation: "We have managed to create this unique institution together - an institution whose greatest value is that we just talk to each other. We have no other plans, we don't want to involve our guests in any other way. We just want them to talk among themselves. The greatest value of the Forum is that we talk to each other." - admitted Zygmunt Berdychowski.
