The Deputy Speaker of the Polish Parliament, Marek Kuchciński, sent warm wishes to the employees of the Gasworks in Jarosław, who celebrated St. Barbara's Day - the Miner's Day on November 24th.
In a commemorative letter, the Deputy Speaker wrote, among other things:
"I would like to express my great respect to all of you, who persistently and devotedly carry out work of enormous importance for our national economy and for millions of Polish families. This is particularly important in the face of the fuel crisis, which makes us all realize how much Poland needs to diversify its gas supply.
The ceremony is also an opportunity to express our appreciation to all those who make work in mines safer, more productive and more profitable.
It is impossible not to mention on this day those who paid for their work in the mining industry with their lives - the victims of the disaster at the Wujek Mine in Ruda Śląska, the Halemba Mine, the Boryna Mine and many others. That is why I wish all miners that Saint Barbara surrounds you with her constant care.
On the occasion of Miners' Day, I would like to wish all employees of the Gas Factory in Jarosław health, happiness and satisfaction from their work, as well as every success in their personal lives."
