Election Convention of Law and Justice in Przemysl

During the Law and Justice party's election convention in Przemyśl Marek Kuchciński, Speaker of the Sejm, emphasized that Law and Justice party's goal is to raise the living standards of Poles. Apart from strong and effective social policy (program 500+, layette+, raising of minimum salary, support for seniors, pensioners). Law and Justice is focused on developing the domestic economy and helping our entrepreneurs. Measures such as lowering CIT or ZUS are designed to support mainly small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, not big companies.

In the Marshal's opinion the concept of locomotive cities, pulling the regions economically, did not work. - In my opinion the state's money and instruments should be directed first of all to those in need - both cities, villages and social groups. Development yes, but evenly. The rich will manage in the free market world - he said.

The Speaker reminded that there was a time when Polish economy was dependent on many, e.g. international, factors. The liquidations of the National Investment Funds affected over 500 workplaces. Tens of thousands of people became unemployed. The Law and Justice party wants to rebuild and strengthen the economy, making many moves to this end. One of the biggest investments is a 5-billion project aimed at commune and district governments - to repair roads and make it easier for residents to get in touch with each other.

Morawiecki's five for Podkarpacie, which Kuchciński mentioned, include.

  1. Development of road infrastructure: Via Carpathia expressway Nisko - Rzeszów - Krosno - Barwinek, expressway Rzeszów - Tarnobrzeg - Radom, and a bridge over the San River in Jarosław,
  2. Modernization of railroad lines: connection Rzeszów - Warsaw, Carpathian railroad Jasło - Krosno - Sanok - Zagórz - Ustrzyki - Krościenko -Malhowice - Przemyśl, agglomeration railroad Kolbuszowa, Debica, Strzyżów, Przeworsk, as well as modernization of railroad stations,
  3. Implementation of the Mieszkanie+ program in: Boguchwała, Dębica, Krosno, Jarosław, Jasło, Mielec, Nowa Dęba, Przemyśl, Sanok, Stalowa Wola and Tarnobrzeg,
  1. Flood protection in drainage basins of the following rivers of the Subcarpathian region: Vistula, Wisłok, San, Wisłoka along with construction of the Kąty - Myscowa reservoir,
  2. Introduction of the Programme for the Bieszczady Mountains and the Blue San programme, as well as the construction of the Central Sports Centre, of great importance for employment and tourism development in the region. https://marekkuchcinski.pl/wydarzenia/sportowa-ofensywa-podkarpaciu/

The Speaker also said that in 2018 we have entered the period of anniversaries of independence. - We should celebrate this great effort made by our ancestors - he said. He recalled that the Presidium of the Sejm passed a resolution on taking care of the graves of parliamentarians - from the Legislative Sejm to the elected Sejm of 1938. - We want to commemorate them, because they represented the Nation - said the Speaker.

During the convention the candidates for mayors of Podkarpackie cities and the first names on the lists for provincial assembly elections were presented. In the Rzeszów area the list will be opened by Jerzy Cypryś, in the area of Stalowa Wola Ewa Draus, in the Mielec district Władysław Ortyl, in Przemyśl Piotr Pilch, in Krosno Jerzy Borcz.

The convention was held in National Museum of Przemysl Land which recently became a partially state-owned institution, which, as Marek Kuchciński pointed out, is a matter not only of prestige but also of cultural policy in our part of Europe. https://marekkuchcinski.pl/podkarpacie/muzeum-narodowe-ziemi-przemyskiej-wspolprowadzone-mzp/
