The meeting is hosted by the Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchcinski and the Speaker of the Senate Stanisław Karczewski.
The impetus for organizing the conference of 12 countries was the declaration Europe of Solidary States, sent to the presidents of national parliaments in European countries.The basis for cooperation in Europe should be the sovereignty and solidarity of nation states. All nation states on our continent are an integral part of Europe.
Presidents and Vice-Presidents of the Parliaments: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia, Ukraine and Turkey will discuss multilateral cooperation of national parliaments in Central and Eastern Europe.
The question of new impetus in the context of regional cooperation in this area of Europe will also be raised.
The conference will be a forum for discussion about the future of the continent among the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, regardless of their membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance.
The European Union cannot be an international organization closed to other European countries, because they also constitute the identity and potential of Europe, and it is not possible to ensure the security of the European Union without security on a continental scale.
We support the model of the European Union as an international organization that serves its member states and is open to cooperation with its neighbors, especially those on its eastern and south-eastern borders.
