On March 23 (Sunday) a historical conference "Towards Independence" took place in the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. The conference was organized by the Chairman of the Social Committee of the Deed for Independence Jaroslaw Kaczynski. The conference was attended by the Vice-Marshal of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński - a member of the Founding Committee of the Social Committee of the Deed for Independence.
The main goal and task of the Committee is to organize and support celebrations related to the memory of all those who led to the restoration of independence, as well as to commemorate the events that contributed to the reconstruction of the Polish State - said on Sunday the organizers of the conference.
"We are opening a cycle that is intended to contribute to rebuilding the memory of events that decided the fate of Poland, Polish independence," said Jarosław Kaczyński. "It is worth reflecting on the ways of this success - the success of action and thought. This combination resulted in a large Polish state in the middle of Europe," the Law and Justice president emphasized.
Among the speakers who delivered their papers were Professor Bohdan Cywiński, Professor Jan Żaryn and Professor Włodzimierz Suleja.
The conference was highlighted by a concert of the Vocal Ensemble of the Polish Secondary School of St. Stanislaus Kostka College in Warsaw.
