On Wednesday the Sejm will take up a bill on zero PIT for persons under 26

At the next session of the Parliament, MPs will consider an amendment to the law, which will allow young people - up to 26 years of age - to save up to 4600 PLN per year, and the unemployed will find it easier to return to work.

In order for the bill to enter into force on August 1, as announced by the Prime Minister, it must pass through the Sejm at an express pace. Tomorrow is the first reading.

Zero PIT assumes exemption from tax both for employees with permanent employment contracts and those on so-called "junk pays". In this way, the government wants to reduce the burden on people with relatively low salaries. It is estimated that over 2 million young people will benefit from it.

The bill's explanatory statement says it is the first step in towards reducing the tax wedge. Reducing the burden will allow young young people to start work more easily and at the same time will give the opportunity to return The reduction of burden will allow young people to start work more easily and at the same time will give the opportunity to return to the labour market to those working in the grey economy. This will contribute to the improvement of participation rate of young people and a decrease in unemployment among this age This will contribute to an improvement in the professional activity rate of young people and a decrease in unemployment among this age group, which is discussed in more detail in the impact assessment. It should not be forgotten that young people, while taking up employment, often leave their family home, create a new household, which generates additional costs. Taking up a job also requires incurring other expenses, such as those connected with completing education or acquiring new skills. The situation of young people is therefore often more difficult than the situation of those who have already "established" themselves on the labour market, which determines the level of professional activity and unemployment among young people.

"Bezpit" is one of the ideas included in the so-called PiS five. Next to it, 500 plus from the first child, 13th pension, restoration of reduced bus services or lowering labor costs are also implemented.
