In Leszczawa Dolna near Bircza the 19th Spring Family Festival combined with the celebration of the local OSP unit and handing over the new fire engine took place.
The event was organized by Caritas Przemysl and the Carpathian Women's Association, and the proceeds will be donated to a local school.
The event began with a solemn Holy Mass in the Church of St. John the Baptist concelebrated by the auxiliary bishop of the Lviv archdiocese, Edward Kawa, who spoke of the great tragedy of Ukraine, but also of the great support and solidarity of the Poles who welcomed home about 2 million Ukrainians.
Marek Kuchcinski emphasized that we have probably opened a new stage in Polish-Ukrainian relations based on Christian help in need.
At the family picnic, during the consecration of the fire truck, together with MP Piotr Uruski he wished prosperity to the residents and firefighters of the OSP.
Investment and development plans were discussed with the Mayor Grzegorz Gagola and the commune authorities: a sidewalk in Leszczyna from the church to the school, the future of the airport near Bircza and efforts to restore Bircza's town rights.
