Today is the 330th anniversary of the founding of the Przemyśl Seminary. The college was founded by bishop Jan Stanisław Zbąski, and its management was entrusted to missionaries.
The institution is linked with the figure of Bishop Aleksander Fredro, a relative of the famous writer, who spared no expense in renovating churches. As the Ordinary of Przemyśl, he started a great renovation of the cathedral temple in the years 1724-1734, giving it a new, baroque style.
In the years 1996-2001 the rector of the seminary was the current Metropolitan Bishop of Przemysl, Bishop Adam Szal.
