In Polańczyk, the Marshal of the Sejm opened the conference "Program for Bieszczady" of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development. Marek Kuchciński said that he opens the conference with high hopes, because thanks to the "Program for the Bieszczady Mountains" a brand is being built to characterize our part of the Carpathians. The "Program for the Bieszczady Mountains" is the next stage in the development policy of the entire Carpathians, and today in Polańczyk, earlier ministerial announcements are being implemented.
Minister Jerzy Kwieciński presented the assumptions of the "Program for the Bieszczady Mountains" as a government response to local problems. Kwieciński emphasized that in this way the ministry subordinated to him keeps his word, finalizing what was promised in February during the 20th Carpathian Europe Conference in Przemyśl.
As a result of consultations as part of the Strategy for Responsible Development and inspired by the President of PiS Jaroslaw Kaczynski, a special "Programme for Bieszczady" was created. This programme has 4 priorities:
- Bieszczady close (accessibility of the region)
- Bieszczady for the inhabitants (improving quality of life)
- Green Bieszczady
- Entrepreneurial Bieszczady.
The program is based on cooperation between the local government and the government. The Minister also stressed that similar results can only be achieved where such cooperation is guaranteed.
Under the "Programme for the Bieszczady Mountains", MIiR will cooperate with the regional self-government, local self-governments, NGOs, institutions and entrepreneurs. Thanks to this programme, the area of Bieszczady and activities undertaken under the programme announced in Polańczyk will be treated as a priority.
Both minister Jerzy Kwieciński and marshal Marek Kuchciński are keen to extend the activities connected with this programme to border areas in Slovakia and Ukraine. We do not want the Bieszczady to be divided by borders. Thanks to the Programme for the Bieszczady Mountains it will be possible to describe this area not only as beautiful, but also beautifully developing.

International Carpathian Cooperation Forum
From the parliamentary perspective, the authorities of each state participating in the Carpathian Euroregion, our primary task is to ensure security to our citizens. This concept of security can refer to all areas of activity: from the sphere of cultural, natural and environmental protection to hard economy and politics or security understood literally - said Marek Kuchciński, Speaker of the Sejm, opening the International Carpathian Cooperation Forum on Thursday in Rzeszow.
The event connected with 25th anniversary of the Carpathian Euroregion was held under the motto "Carpathians - common social and economic space at the threshold of new challenges". - In the perspective of the last 25 years of existence of the Carpathian Euroregion we can see how important is the cooperation between communities and public authorities of each segment: local, self-governmental and governmental in our part of Europe - said Marek Kuchciński. - We want to draw the right conclusions from our past, which was sometimes wonderful, heroic, but also dramatic for many ancestors. Cooperation and proposals arising from the Carpathian Euroregion are long-term proposals, also for the reason that it is a proposal of cooperation between different environments and different authorities. It is not only cooperation of voivodship self-governments, voivodship with voivodship or poviat with poviat. It is a variety of proposals involving non-governmental organizations, institutions, businesses, and also the use of governmental authorities. This form of activity is important for strengthening cooperation between the countries of Central Europe, although geographically we are only talking about one region, the Carpathians, but in the same terms we must talk about the whole of Central Europe. If we talk about the future and development of such initiatives as Inter-Morze or Tri-City, it is clear that the Carpathian Euroregion has prepared a rota for the development of such cooperation for a whole generation - assessed the Speaker of the Sejm.
During the Forum several main topics were discussed, including "The Carpathians - between the mundane of life and the dream of power... Can Europe's periphery afford a civilizational leap?", "Resistant to inspiration? Can European experience help create a destination of global importance in the Carpathians?", "Green Walls. How to optimize cooperation between protected areas and socio-economic environment for development?", "Where is the wisdom? We have lost it in knowledge. Where is knowledge? We lost it in information... How to use information in managing territorial development processes?".
There were also discussions about new trends and development, branding and promotion of the Carpathians on the Internet during the panels "How to effectively and profitably sell a place brand?" and Social media and blogosphere: "Good communication stimulates like black coffee. And equally difficult to fall asleep after it. How to effectively build interest in the blogosphere? Is it possible to integrate thematically and territorially around the Carpathians?
