Polish-British alliance for peace

Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee (FAC) Marek Kuchcinski spoke with UK FAC Chairman Tom Tugendhad.

The topic of the politicians' telephone conversation was the situation in Ukraine. The Presidents agreed that in the face of the crimes committed by Russian troops it is necessary to tighten sanctions for Russia and Belarus, strengthen the eastern flank of NATO, strengthen Polish-British parliamentary cooperation and for the benefit of the arms industry, make Europe independent of Russian raw materials; ban the purchase of oil, coal and gas. Marshal Kuchciński emphasized the role that Baltic Pipe or the purchase of small nuclear power plants from the USA will play in this regard.

President Tugendhad conveyed that the British were very impressed with the assistance Poland was offering Ukrainian refugees. The politicians agreed that our countries will continue the support.
