During the Christmas wafer meeting in Ustrzyki Dolne the Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchcinski received the "Bieszczady Tarnina" award - as a person of particular merit in the activity for the development of the Bieszczady district.
- This is a reward for the resources, for the help, for the kindness - emphasized the Bieszczady starost Marek Andruch.
The rest of the awardees emphasized how important it is for the region to invest in roads and communication accessibility, which changes the face of the entire region. The construction of a road along with a bicycle path from Przemyśl through Arłamów to Ustrzyki has been announced, as well as the renovation of the trail and Chatka Puchatka, and the use of Solina. Good allocation of funds is to ensure the development of Bieszczady, opening to new initiatives and support for both large and micro-entrepreneurs.
With the support of the government of Prime Minister Morawiecki, the program of strategic development of Bieszczady is being implemented.
Receiving the award Marek Kuchciński told about Bieszczady mountains as the home of our ancestors, symbolic place, marked by the fight for land, ideas, for freedom. The Marshal emphasized that Bieszczady is not only unusual, unique nature, but also people, thanks to whom this place is so extraordinary. - We want to serve people, ensure their safety and support their development. And it looks good - he said.
He also recalled important dates, such as the 100th anniversary of the Constituent Assembly or the 450th anniversary of the Union of Lublin, when the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was established in the inter-region. - It was the forerunner of the European Union, we showed the world how to cooperate, therefore we can go with our heads held high - Kuchciński said.
Awards were also given to: Bogdan Rzonca MP, Minister Adam Hamryszczak, Voivode of Podkarpacie Ewa Leniart, Marshal of Podkarpacie Voivodeship Władysław Ortyl and Antoni Kubicki - the President of the Management Board of Hotel Arłamow.
