On July 7, 2014, Law and Justice parliamentarians Marek Kuchcinski, deputy speaker of the Polish Parliament, and Czeslaw Hoc, MP, came to Połczyn-Zdroj for a visit as part of a meeting with the Board of Swidwin County and starost Miroslaw Majka. The topic of the meeting was the current situation of the hospital in Połczyn-Zdrój. It was about, among other things, health security and clarification of the hospital's lease to a private company.
The meeting was substantive, the deputies assessed the situation of the hospital , as good, stressed that the hospital has no debts, and presented their own proposals for the organization of health care in the form of: dissolving the National Health Fund, creating a network of public hospitals. They also stressed the need to increase funding for health care.
