On June 22 (Sunday) for the 8th time the Feast of Casimir Castle was held. The official opening of the event was made by the Vice-Marshall of the Polish Sejm Marek Kuchciński, President of the City of Przemyśl Robert Choma, President of the King Casimir the Great Association Eugeniusz Gołembiewski and Director of the Przemyśl Castle Culture and Science Centre Renata Nowakowska.

The celebration was attended by the mayors and representatives of the cities belonging to the King Casimir the Great Association. The city of Przemyśl received from the hands of Eugeniusz Go³embiewski the "Medal of King Casimir the Great". - for special achievements related to the promotion of the great achievements of King Casimir the Great. An important part of the event was the opening of an exhibition devoted to memorabilia from the era of King Casimir the Great.

The participants could visit the Castle and take part in many attractions prepared by the organizers. The event was honored by the presence of such bands as the Przemyśl Chamber Orchestra, the Song and Dance Ensemble and the "Twoje Niebo" ensemble. The end of the meeting was crowned by the "Bohema" Fire Theatre, which prepared for the occasion a play entitled "Cossacks at Przemyśl Castle".
