Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński took part in the 5th Cooperative Congress (27th November, Warsaw). The participants discussed, among others, the current state of cooperatives in Poland and the directions of development for the years 2013-2016. Elections of members of the General Assembly of the National Cooperative Council were also held. The motions that were put forward during the discussion included: increasing the participation of cooperative members in democratic mechanisms of cooperative management; strengthening cooperatives as an enterprise and conducting consultations with cooperators as often as possible so that changes in the law really serve the people. The Deputy Speaker was a guest speaker at the invitation of the Organizing Committee.
