For several months Poland has been immersed in a social crisis. Most Poles are painfully aware of deteriorating living conditions. Prices are rising, unemployment is rising, inflation is rising. The government of Tusk and Pawlak turns out to be helpless in the face of economic problems. To divert attention from the financial collapse, the Platform starts a fight with the Church. At the same time, the government is pushing through a disastrous educational reform for the Polish youth and insists on the absurd idea of forcing Poles to work until the age of 67.
The law and the rules of decency in public life are ostentatiously violated - e.g. the case of Minister Graś. Graś case. A growing number of social and professional groups are protesting against policies in which crude propaganda replaces genuine concern for the state of the country.
For the first time in a long time, there is a real chance to remove from power the specialists in empty promises and harmful decisions. This can only be done by a united right-wing party, which has an alternative economic program and appeals to traditional values such as honesty, diligence, responsibility for the state and the nation, and patriotism. The only party capable of opposing the planned weakening of the Polish state and demoralization of its citizens is Law and Justice, which unites various right-wing and centrist trends and circles. Only gathering around Law and Justice all those who care about the future of independent Poland, guarantees the possibility of having a real impact on the functioning of the state. Deluding voters with mirages of personal reshuffling by groups that have no chance to enter the Parliament is detrimental for the right wing's victory.
Politicians who refuse to cooperate within one formation or who have left the ranks of Law and Justice work for parties that harm Poland. This can be seen in recent times, when the Platform uses individuals for its purposes, for example by organizing a meeting with the prime minister for one of them, in the hope that this will contribute to a division among its opponents. In a moment it will turn out that some of the previous critics of the government will join Tusk's camp.
At a time when the government coalition is fracturing and crowds of demonstrators are increasingly in the streets, it becomes all the more necessary to strive for unity. Law and Justice is ready to cooperate with those representatives of the right who, during their decades-long activity, have shown commitment and developed their own view on fundamental issues concerning the contemporary condition of the Church, the human being and the citizen, as well as the place of Poland in the world, based on deep reflection.
At the same time, we call on those of our, until recently, party colleagues who left our grouping without serious substantive and programmatic reasons to quickly return to the ranks of Law and Justice. It is required by the good of the Homeland, which must be treated as more important than personal interests and ambitions. The creation of organizations acting on the margins of political events, but depleting the electorate of the right wing even by fractions of percent is harmful and serves the opponents of a strong, prosperous, just and important in the world Poland. Whoever decides to take such a step will not be able to count in the future neither on forgetting his mistakes nor on running for office from the lists of Law and Justice.
Poland needs the victory of the right wing. Only Law and Justice can ensure this victory. This victory will come the sooner the more forces come together in a common effort.
The President of the Law and Justice
