Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Marek Kuchciński met with the leader of democratic Belarus Svitlana Tikhanouska. The main topic of conversation was the support of Belarusian society and the current situation in Ukraine.
- We do not recognize Lukashenko's regime, we support Belarus in its struggle for independence. We must remind the world of human rights violations and political prisoners, including Poles," Kuchciński said.
Svetlana Tikhanouska thanked for helping the Belarusian opposition, today and in 2020, for accepting Belarusian refugees, engaging in work for free media. She stressed that Lukashenko, being in debt to Putin, sells his country, its independence and sovereignty. She argued that the dictator, being aware of the Belarusians' reluctance to attack Ukraine, withholds aid to the Russian army. - Even if they receive orders, they will not cross the border with Ukraine," Tikhanouska argued.
