Autosan means respect for tradition, it means modern buses, it is a Polish brand that has been close to people for 185 years and has earned their trust - this is how the company from Sanok, which currently employs 370 people, describes itself.
In 2016, the bankrupt Autosan was bought by the Polish Armament Group. After being taken over by PGZ, it not only resumed production but also expanded its offer to include, among others, electric, compressed gas, liquefied gas, hydrogen-powered vehicles and those for the military. In October Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and Autosan signed an agreement with three largest energy groups: PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, Enea, Tauron Polska Energia, to replace the old fleet with a modern and ecological one. Within the next four years, the company has a chance to produce 1500 electric vehicles. At the beginning of October at the Congress 590 in Jasionka was presented electric bus SANCITY 12LFE according to own design, in which batteries and all control devices are Polish.
- Such a successful return of Autosan to the market is very good news. We fulfilled our promise from 2015 and regained it from private hands. The Podkarpacie region, forgotten and treated so far with neglect, proves that it is a place worthy of the best, biggest investments. Replacing the old, dilapidated fleet means not only new jobs, support for domestic industry, but also care for the environment and aesthetics of our beautiful region. After all, the city of Beksinski, who designed the buses and Autosan's logo, obliges us to do so - said Marek Kuchciński.
