During its session on November 9, the Seimas of Lithuania adopted a resolution in support of reforms in Poland, expressed solidarity with the ongoing dispute with the European Commission and thanked Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchcinski for the historic visit:
Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania,
thanking Marek Kuchcinski, Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland for his historic visit and for expressing his will to strengthen bilateral relations;
Recognizing that interparliamentary relations are an important element in the relationship between States;
stressing the importance of adopting a common, unanimous position within the European Union;
in response to the Republic of Poland's successful reforms to strengthen families;
welcomes the successful reforms of the Republic of Poland and considers their implementation in Lithuania;
Expresses its support and solidarity with the Republic of Poland regarding the infringement procedure initiated by the European Union and recommends solving the issue of possible sanctions through dialogue.
