On July 31, In Przemyśl, regional celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the founding of NSZZ "Solidarity" took place, in which Marek Kuchciński, Deputy Marshal of the Polish Parliament, took part.
The ceremony was preceded by Holy Mass at the Archcathedral Basilica presided over by Bishop Adam Szal, followed by the laying of flowers at the obelisk of Blessed Father Jerzy Popieluszko and at the monument to St. John Paul II.
The jubilee meeting was held at the National Museum of the Przemyśl Region, where a photographic exhibition "Blessed priest Jerzy Popiełuszko - priest and martyr" was opened.
The celebration of the 35th anniversary of the founding of the NSZZ "Solidarity" was attended, among others, by the Chairman of the NSZZ "Solidarity" National Committee Piotr Duda, Deputy Speaker of the Polish Parliament Marek Kuchcinski, Senator of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Matusiewicz, Councillor of the Podkarpackie Regional Assembly Anna Schmidt - Rodziewicz and local government officials.
Also present at the ceremony were numerous chairmen of the Solidarity Trade Union's regional boards, as well as past and present union activists.
