PiS is confident. He is convinced that he will win the elections to the Podkarpackie assembly. He does not intend to share power with anyone.
The PiS campaign offensive continues. After Saturday's presentation of the young activists running in the autumn elections and Monday's presentation of the candidates for the Rzeszów city council, the time has come for the candidates for the Podkarpackie assembly....
Apart from the PiS activists (among others Marshal Władysław Ortyl, Wojciech Buczak, Ewa Draus) there were also candidates of Solidarna Polska (Maria Kurowska), Polska Razem Jarosław Gowina (Stanisław Kruczek) and Prawica Rzeczpospolitej (Bogdan Romaniuk), with which PiS entered into electoral alliance.
- Today we are creating a great coalition of the democratic camp, the camp of changes, the camp of independence, whose goal is not only to win in Podkarpacie, but in many other voivodship governments. We hope to govern independently in Podkarpacie and to continue the changes that began over a year ago," Kuchciński said.
Last May, PiS took over from the PO-PSL-SLD coalition, which fell apart after a corruption scandal involving marshal Mirosław Karapyta. Kuchciński announced that PiS candidates will want to reach out to every town and every resident during the campaign.
PiS wants to win 22-23 seats in local government elections, or even 24. Wladyslaw Ortyl, PiS list leader in constituency 2, said that Podkarpacie needs sustainable development. Ortyl mentioned, among others, building a cargo terminal for air connections to Miami, railroad investments (connections to Warsaw) and road investments (construction of S19)
- This will open Podkarpacie and Rzeszów to Central and Eastern Europe," believes the marshal.
- There is no way that our region will count among the strong EU regions if the capital of the voivodeship will not fulfill the role of a metropolis. It still doesn't fully fulfil this role. Simple technical measures are not enough. We need bold decisions, big investments, not only in industry, but also in cultural institutions - said Wojciech Buczak, leader of PiS list in district no. 1.
PiS coalition partners also believe in victory in the elections. - We will show Podkarpacie Poland how to win," said MP Mieczysław Golba, head of Podkarpacie Solidarity Poland.
PiS is not considering any other option than independent governing in the province. - The plan is to win the election and rule independently. And we are sticking to this plan - said Marek Kuchciński.
