At the invitation of the Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary László Kövér, Sejm Speaker Marek Kuchcinski will travel to Budapest on Friday. During the visit, he is scheduled to hold talks with the chairman, meet with the Polish community and lay a wreath at the Katyn Martyrs' Monument.

The upcoming 60th anniversary of Poznan June and the 1956 uprising in Hungary, the 1050th anniversary of the Baptism of Poland, and the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Kostiuchnowka in Volhynia, in which Polish and Hungarian soldiers fought together against the Russian army, are occasions for joint activities between the Polish Sejm and the Hungarian National Assembly.
