Deputy Speaker Marek Kuchciński opened an exhibition "For Bread and Freedom - Years 1978-81" in the Polish Parliament, presenting photos from the period of the social uprising. It was organized by NSZZ Solidarność Mazowsze Region and 13th December Association.
On the opening day, May 9, trade unionists picketed in front of the Sejm. On their behalf, Tadeusz Majchrowicz (pictured), vice-chairman of the National Committee and head of Solidarity in the Podkarpackie Region (Krosno Zema), spoke at the inauguration.
