On March 19 (Wednesday) this year at the Sejm, Deputy Speaker Marek Kuchcinski opened an exhibition entitled. "The Last Defenders of the Kresy. Polish Armed Underground in the Polish Borderlands after 1944". The event was also attended, among others, by the chairman of the Freedom and Democracy Foundation, Michał Dworczyk, the authors of the exhibition, Dr. Kazimierz Krajewski and Dr. Tomasz Łabuszewski - historians at the Institute of National Remembrance - and representatives of Parliament.
It is our duty to remember our heroes about whom history has been silent," said Deputy Speaker Kuchciński. He also recalled that the first of March last year marked the beginning of ceremonies related to the year of the "Soldiers of the Ex-Clawed," co-organized by the Freedom and Democracy Foundation and the Institute of National Remembrance.
The exhibition was dedicated to the Polish heroes of the Borderlands of the Second Polish Republic, separated from Poland by the Yalta Agreements, who waged an armed struggle against the Soviet occupation after the end of World War II.
