The Marshal Marek Kuchciński and his accompanying guests, including the Mayor of Przemyśl Robert Choma, began the ceremonial visit to the burial sites by laying flowers at the grave of Archbishop Ignacy Tokarczuk in the crypts of the Przemyśl Archcathedral. From there, he went to the Austro-Hungarian Cemetery, where he commemorated the Austro-Hungarians who fought in the 1914-1918 battles for the Przemyśl Fortress. Among them rests the grandfather of the current Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament László Kövér and the grandfather of József Antall.

The Marshal and his aides also lit candles and placed bunches of flowers at the monuments: Home Army, commemorating the Poles from the Eastern Borderlands murdered by OUN-UPA and those murdered by NKVD (the so-called Katyn Monument), Legionaries and at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Kuchciński and his accompanying guests also visited the grave of the Polish Army soldiers killed in 1946 in the struggle against Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), located in the Zasanski Cemetery. In turn, at the Main Cemetery, the Marshal visited the grave of his father Zbigniew Kuchciński, who was the President of the Society of Lovers of Lviv and the Southern and Eastern Borderlands, as well as the graves of the participants of the November and January Uprisings and the tomb of the Defenders of Przemysl.
