- We are hosting an extraordinary exhibition. It is important because the Legacy of the Cardinal carries a universal message - tolerance, so necessary for us today and so strongly connected with the history of the Republic of Poland. Since the Middle Ages, tolerance has been a characteristic feature of Poles," said Marek Kuchciński, Speaker of the Sejm, while opening an exhibition devoted to Cardinal Adam Kozłowiecki. - The cardinal was faithful to the ideas that he proclaimed until the end and bore witness to them. Despite the painful experiences of World War II he did not bear hatred in his heart," added the Marshal.
During the inauguration of the exhibition, the words of the Holy Father were also read out, and he wished that the memories of this great missionary who dedicated his life to serving the people of Zambia would sensitize them to the spiritual and material needs of African nations. Let us pray for missionaries throughout the world.
Biographical exposition "In nomine Domini. Missionary of Africa. Cardinal Adam Kozłowiecki" was organized on the initiative of the Cardinal Adam Kozłowiecki Foundation "Heart Without Borders" in connection with the tenth anniversary of the clergyman's death. It depicts the life of one of the most famous Polish clergymen in the world. The Jesuit was a prisoner of the German concentration camps of Auschwitz and Dachau. Born in Nowa Dęba in the Podkarpacie region, Kozłowiecki devoted himself to missionary work in Zambia, where he was given the title of highest dignitary of the Zambian Church by Pope John Paul II. The exhibition at the Diet is another; the previous one took place at the Pontifical Urbanian University of Rome.
