Speaker of the Sejm unveiled a cross commemorating the 100th anniversary of regaining independence

In Tuliglowy in Podkarpacie region a 25-meter cross and a 32-meter mast were erected, which, as the Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchcinski emphasized, are to remind the great history of the Republic of Poland and to commemorate the 100th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland.

- We have numerous signs and symbols in the history of Poland. This sign - a cross, next to it a mast - I hope it will remind us for many kilometers to the east, for many kilometers to the west, what our heritage is. What is our message for the future - said the Marshal.

In his letter to the participants of the ceremony the President of the Law and Justice party Jaroslaw Kaczynski pointed out that the size of this monument, towering over the area, symbolizes the power of faith of our ancestors. The unwavering trust that the One who surrounded Poland for so many centuries with the shine of power and glory deigns to restore our free homeland.

The monument was built under the honorary patronage of the Speaker of the Sejm. The construction was initiated by the pastor of the parish in Tuliglovy, Rev. Mariusz Marciniec. The monument stood next to the Marian shrine, which is more than 600 years old. The inscription on it proclaims: "Baptism gives the power of Resurrection. On the 100th anniversary of the regaining of Independence, grateful to God and the National Heroes."
