On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Poland's regaining independence, a commemorative plaque was unveiled at the Przemyśl I High School.
Marshal of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński addressed the participants of the ceremony with a letter. He emphasized that the momentous anniversary undoubtedly serves to reflect on past events. It is also an opportunity to deepen the knowledge of the sacrifice, effort, responsibility and wisdom of our ancestors to build their own independent state, which is the highest value for the nation. The word "Republic" contains our history, the memory of the experiences of past generations, their sacrifice at the cost of the highest sacrifice - in defense of the professed values.
The Speaker wished the attendees, That during this special event, which is an expression of attachment to national traditions so dear to us, each of those present should be accompanied by pride in our history and joy at the successes of our reborn homeland.
