Going for victory and keeping an eye on the election

The PiS deputies', senators' and district offices will turn into headquarters on Sunday, where lawyers will monitor the election. Any irregularities will be reported to them by party shop stewards, of whom there will be over 4,000 in the region.

On Friday Podkarpacki Law and Justice party summed up its campaign. The conference had a significant title: "We are going for victory". But the party leadership in the region also warns against possible irregularities. To support their fears politicians brought out documents on Friday - calculations of invalid votes cast in local self-government elections in 2010. - One of the professors of Polish Academy of Sciences (Przemysław Śleszyński - ed.) presented recently an interesting map showing the percentage of invalid votes cast in local self-government elections. In 21 boroughs of Podkarpacie region the percentage of invalid votes exceeded 15 percent. 11 percent of invalid votes were on average in this region. There were also three communes, where invalid votes were almost 30 percent. Please, every third inhabitant of these communes could not vote correctly! - said Waldemar Paruch, number 2 on the Krosno-Przemysl PiS list.

- This information appeared online and in some newspapers, but it did not resonate. Why? - Paruch asked rhetorically.

We asked Law and Justice politicians whether they had any signals about irregularities from their own shop stewards who worked in these PECs after the local elections. - Were any of them reported to the prosecution? - we asked.

- People say during election meetings that the elections were rigged in many places," responded Marek Kuchciński, head of the Subcarpathian structures of the Law and Justice party.

The Law and Justice party has prepared a great offensive for the 9 October elections in Poland. It will be also implemented in Podkarpacie.

- In each PiS county office, in each MP's and senator's office we will have all-day duty, during which our lawyers will work. They will receive signals from our representatives about any irregularities. We will want to make sure that these elections are conducted in a proper and democratic way," Kuchciński announced.

- We will use an IT tool to monitor the situation, we will launch a special website, where all irregularities will be noted - said Waldemar Pijar, chief of staff of the Law and Justice party in Podkarpacie. This website will be available only to the party.

- We will have our own shop stewards in every PEC. In total there will be over 4 thousand of them in Podkarpacie - Kuchciński announced.
