On Thursday, March 13, this year, the final of the competition on the occasion of International Mother Language Day was held in the Polish Parliament. The competition was organized, among others, by Marek Kuchciński - Deputy Speaker of the Polish Parliament, the Parliamentary Group for the Protection of the Polish Language and Literature, the Faculty of Polish Studies at Jagiellonian University, the Scientific Circle of Polish Methodology at Jagiellonian University, Mieczysław Karasiu Scientific Circle of Linguists at Jagiellonian University.
The competition was addressed to students of all specializations in Polish philology at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels.
The theme of the competition was "Language in Parliament, Parliament in Language". The participants of the competition final were welcomed by the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński.
This was followed by a presentation of the students' best speeches on the topic "Man in the face of the dictates of technology - are we still free?"
The final of the competition was also an opportunity for the winners to conduct a lesson on the culture of language for the MPs and invited guests.
