President of Poland, Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Armed Forces Andrzej Duda presented nominations to five officers of the Polish Army for the first general and admiral ranks.
- It must be an extraordinary experience to receive the nomination for the first general rank, for the rank of Rear Admiral in the year of the 20th anniversary of Poland's presence in the North Atlantic Alliance, 15th anniversary of Poland's presence in the EU, but most of all in the period when we celebrate the 100th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland," said Andrzej Duda during the ceremony in the Presidential Palace.
As he added, our great history of Polish heroism, but above all, the great tradition of Polish arms was built in those extraordinary heroic battles, in the great victories when Poles fought to regain their independence. - I deeply believe that you, gentlemen, receiving these nominations in March 2019. , also soon after the celebration of the National Day of Remembrance of "The Disabled Soldiers", you refer to this great tradition of fighting for a free, independent, sovereign Poland - said the President (KPRP).
The promotions were received by: Brig. Gen. Karol Molenda, Robert Cierniak, Norbert Iwanowski, Andrzej Dąbrowski, Cadm. Mirosław Jurkowlaniec.
The ceremony was attended by, among others, the Speaker of the Sejm, the Speaker of the Senate and the Minister of National Defense, the head of the BBN.
