Today the University of Warsaw served a real feast for the spirit. The 200th anniversary of the University provided an opportunity for a series of musical meetings started by American virtuoso Eugen Indjic. His rendition of Chopin's Mazurkas, Schumann's Fantasias, and Beethoven's Appassionata sonatas was a great romantic inauguration of the Chopin concert series. All the more so because the University of Warsaw was a special place for Chopin. The master not only studied there. The university campus was also home to him and his family for 10 years.
Honorary patronage over the series was taken by the Speaker of the Polish Parliament
