The Felczak Institute's CUSTOS VIRTUTUM - Guardian of Values Award was given to Ákos Engelmayer, an insurgent of '56, courier who actively mediated in contacts between the Polish and Hungarian opposition, distributed underground publications, gave lectures at a secret flying university, and was a founder of the Polish-Hungarian Solidarity.
The Guardian of Remembrance Award ceremony at the Royal Castle was attended by Marek Kuchciński. Thanks to the efforts of the head of the Commission for Foreign Affairs, the collection of the National Museum of the Przemysl Region has a chance to be enriched with a collection of extremely valuable objects connected with Polish-Hungarian history, collected by the laureate who - as he says about himself - is an antiquarian.
