Father Jerzy Popiełuszko - chaplain of Solidarity, blessed, a great authority, a legend... On October 19, 1984, he was abducted by the Security Service and bestially murdered.

In the 1980s he supported workers, organized pilgrimages to holy places, and helped those arrested and persecuted by the communist system of the time. Popieluszko electrified and moved the crowds. He was not afraid of strong words condemning the authorities in his sermons. He was so inconvenient that his murder was planned. On October 19, 1984, he was abducted and killed. His body was massacred. A reliable investigation of the priest's murder was impossible in those days. Investigation materials were lost, witnesses and family members were intimidated or died in fake murders.
