New Year's and supper meeting of the Law and Justice party: the course of the good change remains the same - the good of the Republic of Poland, serving the community based on Christian values and improving the quality of our lives

At the Rzeszow Philharmonic a New Year's meeting and supper meeting was held for members of parliament, local government and Law and Justice supporters.

During the speech, the host of the meeting Marshal of the Sejm Marek Kuchciński reminded the important dates of the past year: 100 years of regaining independence, 550 years of the Polish Sejm, the year of Archbishop Ignacy Tokarczuk.

This year we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the convocation of the Legislative Sejm. Marek Kuchciński quoted an excerpt from the act passed by the Sejm a few days ago. It says that we recognize the convocation of the Sejm as the ultimate symbol of regaining independence and resurrecting the republican tradition after 123 years of captivity.

Other important dates in 2019 mentioned by the Speaker include the 450th anniversary of the Union of Lublin in 1569, 30 years since the throwing off of dependence on Moscow, or 20 years since the great local government reforms.

- Remembrance for the national community is crucial. Without memory we cannot be a community, hence the special role of anniversaries. When we celebrate an anniversary, we go back to the past and treat the past as a source of strength," said the Speaker of the Sejm.

Marek Kuchciński assured that the course of the Good Change remains the same: the good of the Republic of Poland, serving our community based on Christian values and improving the quality of our lives. And these actions are accompanied by economic, infrastructural, educational, cultural and sports development initiatives.

- Today Poland is developing economically at a rate 2 or 3 times faster than the most developed countries of the Euro zone. Investments are being made in infrastructure or in the repolonization of banks, but most of all in families, which gives reasons for an optimistic view of the future - said the Marshal. - The generation of young Poles lives better than the generation of their parents and Polish products: clothes, jewelry, cosmetics conquer the world - emphasized Marek Kuchciński. - This situation will not change as long as we are guided by our own reason and national interest, and do not listen to whispers such as those from the 1990s that we must close factories and liquidate industry - argued the Speaker.

The Speaker of the Sejm emphasized that 2019 is not only a double election year. It is also another year of our life, work, fulfillment of tasks and complex commitments. - Sometimes we wonder what the future of Poland will be. I think the best way to predict the future is to create it. So let us create our future together. Because Poland is one", said Marek Kuchciński.

PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński wrote in a letter read by Krzysztof Sobolewski:

- It is up to us, our will and our efforts that a good result in the upcoming elections to the European Parliament, Sejm and Senate will depend on us - wrote the president.

Among the speakers were MEP Tomasz Poręba, first Marshal of the province Bogdan Rzonca, Podkarpackie Voivode Ewa Leniart, Podkarpackie Marshal Władysław Ortyl, President of the Federation of Polish Organizations in Ukraine Emilia Chmielowa, and young local government officials.

The meeting was inaugurated by the mass for the intention of the homeland celebrated in the cathedral in Rzeszow. After the mass the Speaker of the Sejm laid a wreath under the plaque of the Victims of the Smolensk catastrophe.
