On October 10, 1914. Russians withdraw from the siege of the Przemyśl Fortress

The Przemyśl Fortress was the largest fortification complex in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and one of the three most powerful in Europe. Its first siege It lasted from September 17 to October 10, 1914 and ended in complete failure for the Russian forces. Their losses were estimated at about 10,000 killed, wounded and missing, and the losses of the Fortress crew at 3-4,000 soldiers.
